Overview
The NAC-N272 streaming preamp is where Naim Audio not only brings its signature Naim sound of yesteryears to the present but also, adds the “digital future” to its host of features. The preamp now not only acts as a preamp with a conventional source component but also allows streams music and acts as a DAC for up to six digital components. In the input section, it has one DIN and 2 pairs of RCA inputs and two DIN and 1 pair of RCA outs. On the digital section, it will host two coaxial, one BNC and three Toslink components. There is also one Ethernet input for hookup to the internet. Sonically, the NAC-N272 will readily compete with some of the best preamp out there. Its amazingly transparent with a clean, detailed sound. This preamp was previously paired with the NAP-250 DR power amp (also for sale in another listing) for a full Naim Audio system. Previous owner up the performance of the preamp by getting the XP5 XS power supply which in itself was a $3,400 upgrade option. So for a bargain price now of $3,500, you getting both the NAC-N272 and XP5 XS together!
