Its been almost 40 years since NAD released their 3020 integrated amplifier and subsequently went on to sell more than half a million units, making it the best selling integrated amp of all time. The C338 is unlikely to repeat that record feat (neither has any other brand) but the 40 years between them can’t draw a more distinct identity between the two. The 3020 was a wonderful integrated in its day which we could call it a “classic” now. But the C338 is whole different animal. It has adopted many of the features an audiophile or modern user seeks in an integrated amp like, streaming capability, onboard DAC, very efficient power outputs, headphone connectivity and flexibility to connect a turntable and two other line inputs. The integrated amp is rated at 50W per channel in 8 or 4 ohms but can stretch out to an incredible 160W of power when needed. The headphone amp is dedicated and runs separately from the main amp. Sonically, the C338 is so linear and neutral it almost has no sonic signature on its own. Pair with a top class source unit and speakers and you would think you are listening to a system that is being driven by a $3,000 integrated amp.
The unit you see here was a former static display piece. As you can see from the pics, the remote and antennas are still in its original packaging. We have the original box and will securely double box it for safe shipping. See our other listing for the matching C546BEE CD player.
