Overview
The MC2600 is a massive amp and one of McIntosh’s most powerful solid state amp. It puts out 600W in 8. 4 and 2 ohm and if you are lucky to find another one to run them as monoblocks, you are looking at 1,200W per channel! Amp measures approximately 19″ wide, 20″ deep and 11″ tall and weighs a massive 135lbs. Sonically, the amp has the McIntosh signature of warmth but authoritative sound and will just about drive any speakers out there. Whether you put this in a sub $5,000 system or sub $30,000 system, the amp is an impressive monster of an amp. Amp was just serviced (cost $2,200) with worn out parts and caps replaced so it is not good for many more years to come!
Cosmetically, the amp is in pretty nice condition for its vintage. Minor scuff marks/nicks here and there but nothing major. Due to its size and weight, the amp will be shipped strapped on a pallet. Local pickup from our store can be arranged.
