Overview
With the many different CD transport out there, the CDT2 MK.2 from Jay’s Audio is one of the best buy (probably the best buy in our opinion) out there. It is solidly made, very well engineered and sold at a bargain basement price of $2,200. If you go on to their website, you will be able to see the the innards of their transports and they look like pieces of art. The entire unit and the remote is made out of finely chiseled aluminum that you would expect from high end brands like Esoteric, dCS, Emm Labs etc. It offers four outputs – HDMI, coaxial, AES/EBU and BNC. Paired with a high end DAC and you would listening to a digital front end that you would normally associate with five figure price tag setups. So for under $1,300, its an outrageous buy!
Cosmetically, the unit looks really good with just minor scuff marks common with use. It will be securely packed for safe shipping.
