Overview
The Triton Two is another Stereophile recommended speaker in the highly successful Triton series from GoldenEar. Slightly smaller than the Triton One that we also have for sale in another listing, the Triton Two works very well in the small to medium size room where they exhibited the same large scale soundstage, transparency and punch bass of the Triton One but in a smaller package. Standing 6″ shorter at 48″, 5.25″ wide at the front and 15″ deep, it takes up a smaller footprint than the 6″ x 16.5″ of the Triton One. Being smaller, it thus uses a smaller 4.5″ midrange (vs 5.25″) and one less 5″ x 9″ woofer and two passive radiators instead of four. Onboard amp is 1,200W now but the HFVR tweeter used in the Triton One stays the same here. How GoldenEar manages to squeeze all these number of drivers nd technology into a pair of speakers that sells for $3,000 MSRP has to make them one of the best steals in the industry. The Triton Two + that replaced it is now $4,500 MSRP.
Speakers look good. Minor scuff marks on the plastic caps but black socks are in great shape. We don’t have original boxes for this pair so local pickup from our store preferred or if shipping is required, they will be shipped strapped on a pallet.
