Overview
If the P-03/D-03 combo is your dream setup but just don’t have the rack space or the Benjamins to own one, the K-03 is your next best bet. Same look, same heft and an almost mirror like sounding unit as the two piece setup. This is not your run of the mill CD player. This is a true reference one box CD player that will rival any players in the reference category. Highly spec out unit with eight 32-bit AKM DACs doing the conversion from CD/SACD to music. You can read up more on the technical aspects of the player on their website but we can tell you, this is one of the best one box player you will find in the market. Compared to the Accuphase DP-78, it is slightly sharper and tighter sounding. Both are good and it all boils down to individual preference, both aesthetically and sonically. But both will do proud in elevating your system to the reference playing field. USB input was recently upgraded/added on the unit by the previous owner.
Cosmetically, the unit is very good shape. Minor scuff marks from use but nothing major. We have the original box, manual and remote. Unit is pretty hefty and the large box it ships in will add some premium to the shipping.
