Overview
As an AV receiver, the Anthem does a great job as a 5-channel home theater amp and as a 2-channel stereo amp for music. Power output is 25% more over the MRX310 we just sold at 100W per channel into the five channels. Anthem put in loads of bells and whistles into this unit with premium 32-bit/768 kHz DACs and lots of outputs to upgrade or add on more power. But the best part of this receiver is Anthem’s proprietary ARC (Anthem Room Correction) 1M room correction feature. This will ensure the MRX520 performs at its optimum with respect to your room size/condition. Receiver is factory reset so you will need to assign and program the inputs accordingly. You will need to hook it up to a TV screen (TV monitor in the pic not included) to do that and its very easy and straightforward.
The receiver looks good with a minor scuff marks here and there. ARC 1M MIC setup is missing a nut to hole the vertical mount pole but it works nonetheless without it. Just can’t adjust the height (you can always get a nut from Home Depot). Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
