This was Adcom’s “flagship” CD player. As the most expensive offering in their CD player range, it was incredibly good for its $1,400 MSRP and a real steal now at under $500. Its well made and sounds really good for what is considered now, “vintage” Burr Brown 20 bit, 8x Oversampling DAC. Ignore the specs and just listen to the music is all we have to say. Organic and analog sounding, the Adcom will give many contemporary CD players that costs much more a good run for their money. Interestingly enough, the guys at Adcom had such high regards for their design they offered a digital input (not output like so many other brands) so that your other digital sources can sound just as good when using the onboard DAC.
Unit is in pretty nice shape with the usual scuff marks common with use. It was just recently serviced where a few old caps were replaced and now it just sounds fabulous. We will have this unit securely packed for safe shipping.
