We have previously sold the RR-77 and RR-777 (both award winning accessories in their own right) and for Acoustic Revive to further improve the RR-777 with this RR-888 is truly amazing. The “secret” recipe in the RR-888 has a patent pending (google Schumann Resonance for more info) for it. Like its previous models, the RR-888 is a two piece device – the main unit itself and a universal (100-240V so it can be used anywhere in the World) wall wart power supply. The main unit is no bigger than a 6″ square so it takes up very little space in your room. But, placing the unit in your sound room is the most critical action that you need to take. Acoustic Revive stipulates it must be 5ft (or 1.5m) off the ground and ideally place right in the center front of your soundstage (just behind your audio rack if it is placed in the front of your listening position and between your speakers. They also suggest that it be plugged into its own wall outlet. Our experience with the RR series has always been positive and the RR-888 continues that experience. In our small listening room, we were into our third song when we started to hear a more airy, relaxed, smoothen out soundstage.
Cosmetically, the unit has some scuff marks/nicks but no impact on functionality of the unit. What makes this unit even more special is its been personally signed by Ken Ishiguro the head designer of Acoustic Revive!
