The Fresco i is a multi-use speaker. It can be used as stereo speakers when two are used (like in this case) or as a center channel speaker when only one is used. This is a hybrid design with electrostatic panels partnering cone drivers in a three way setup. The previous owner bought two of this and had them mounted on the wall to blend with the aesthetic of the room. We have sold many before as center channel speakers but as a stereo pair, they are impressive sounding speakers and would easily rival the more conventional box shape bookshelf speakers for its sound quality, speed and punch. Bass was naturally not as heavy with its twin 4″ woofers but was sufficient in most application. In a home theater or stereo setup where a subwoofer is present, you probably won’t notice the lack of deep bass and how easily they work together to achieve a more cohesive “full range” sound. Each speaker measures 24″ x 8.25″ × 4.94″ (WHD) and have a frequency range of 75 Hz to 20 kHz. Nominal impedance is 5 ohm with a 90 dB sensitivity.
Overall condition of the speaker is good. Minor scuff marks here and there and a few tiny spot stains on the grille cover but nothing major. Switch on the rear panel allows selection of speaker placement – on or off wall. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
