As YBA’s entry level power amp, the Genesis 6 is anything but “entry level”. It pumps out 150W in 8 ohm and 250W in 4 ohm. That’s a lot of power for any speaker application. It will accept RCAs and XLRs on the rear panel and with an “artistic” rendering of their YBA logo into their side heatsinks, gives it a uniqueness over the more common heat fins we see on other brands. The amp has a smooth, warm and quick (when we compared it with the Threshold S300/II) response and will rise in parity with a good quality preamp it is paired to. A big thumbs up from us for its musicality.
Cosmetically, the amp looks really good. Minor scuff marks here and there but nothing major. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
