Overview
This was quite a landmark product when Bob Carver released it to the World. At that time, it was state of the art in terms of the engineering and power delivery. The performance standard was unbeatable at its $2,200 MSRP and blew almost all the competition away at this price point. It even challenged some amps costing up to three times as much and in the ears of many, was the clear champion. Power output starts at a “modest” 300W per channel at 8 ohm and then morphs into 600W in 4 ohm, 1,200W in 2 ohm and 2,400W in 1 ohm. Many users have tried in vain to push the amp pass the limits and none have succeeded. That was how great the design for the amp was. The power meter (measured in Joules) barely breaks pass its 380 Joules regardless how hard you drive the amp. The level of stability is astonishing for this amp. Amp is an auto trigger on/off design so there is no on/off switch. Comes on once it detects an incoming signal and turns off after about 30 mins of inactivity.
Cosmetically, the unit is in fine shape. Some light scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
