At the extreme end of the high end spectrum, you will find cables that cost as much as a complete system. And by cables, we are not even talking about a full system’s worth of cables…. The one pair you see here, the Extreme 10,000 speaker cables are $30,000 MSRP alone. At that level, expectations run very high and the cables do not disappoint. Putting the pair into our main listening system is like putting an explosive into it. The system just blew up with extra details, greater dynamics, larger soundstage and a bigger scale in terms of presentation. Truly amazing (read up more about their Atomic Binding process on their website). Compared to our “other” $20-$30,000 price range speaker cables, the Extreme 10,000 is a game changer. It was more balanced and didn’t overemphasized the bass like our Gobel cables or had a bit more mid-range richness and smoother highs when compared to Hemingway’s Creation speaker cables. These cables need a high end system to be fully at home with. Please note these cables are very heavy (in relation to other cables) and weighs slightly more than 10 lbs each so some careful planning is clearly needed when hooking them up to you components. The end that is connected to the amp has rhodium/carbon fiber banana plugs while the end that connects to the speakers have spades.
Cable looks good with minor scuff marks from use and a bit of wear on the white heat shrink tubing and the fabric outer sheath but no impact on performance. One owner since new.
