The EVO 400 preamp is PrimaLuna’s current flagship tube preamp. And as the flagship model, it has the sonic characteristics of a flagship preamp that has earned Stereophile’s Class A rating. It uses six 12AU7 and two 5AR4 tubes and unlike some of its competition that uses the same 12AU7 tubes, the EVO400 is dead quiet and yet when music is fed through it, it is full of details, have a velvet smooth sound and a load of dynamism that is uncanny for tube preamps priced under $6,000 MSRP. There are five line inputs with a phono chassis mounted. The phono board (MM) is optional so if you want to have that installed, pls contact PrimaLuna to purchase the board.
Cosmetically, the EVO400 looks really good. Just minor scuff marks here and there common with use. We have the remote and original box for it and unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
