The Nova range of phono preamp has been Musical Surroundings more popular phono preamp. It is extremely flexible where it will just about adjust for any MM or MC cartridges. Add a bargain price tag and a great sound to boot, it is no surprise that it has been very popular among vinyl enthusiast. The Nova II listed here is battery powered (when the preamp is left plugged in, it charges the battery) which explains the quiet black background. The Nova II offers loading for 17 values from 30 to 100k ohms and 13 gain settings from 40 to 60dB. The current iteration of the Nova phono preamp is mark III which also offers the same loading and gains but with a $2,000 price tag and no battery power option.
Cosmetically, the unit is in very nice condition. Copy of manual included and unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
