Overview
This is a rarely available CD player from Musical Fidelity. Like the other models under the Nu-Vista series, they are all limited production units. The Nu-Vista 3D CD player has a limited production of 500 units Worldwide and every effort was made to ensure this was a top notch CD player at launch. It is definitely very well made (weighs more than 40lbs) and even lined with 24K gold on its trimmings which probably explains why this was their most expensive CD player. Outside SACD territory, the Nu-Vista 3D is a very musical CD player. Like the legendary Marantz CD-94 CD player before it, this, in our opinion, should go down in history as one of the great redbook CD player ever made. It has the same musicality as the CD-94 but with much better definition, clarity, transparency and a mid-range to die for. Like the rest of the Nu-Vista range, the 6CW4 tube is used in the analogue stage.
Cosmetically, the unit is in nice shape. Minor scuff marks/nicks from use but nothing major. There is a small corner ding on the front bottom left corner but barely visible until up close. Unit was recently service and a new laser assembly was installed ($1,800). We will have the CD player securely packed for safe shipping.
