If your space (or room) can only accommodate a small speaker, then this MA301 should be on your short list. It is compact in size (6.75″ wide, 8″ deep and 11″ tall) but its 5.25″ woofer and 1″ gold-anodized tweeter can project out a soundstage far more larger than its size may suggest. Music is reproduced with accuracy, clean definitions and transparency. Low end bass may be a struggle but in a small room, it was more than adequate in our opinion when placed on sturdy, weighted stands and close to the rear wall. Frequency response is 70 Hz to 20 kHz with a nominal impedance of 6 ohm and a sensitivity of 88dB. It does sound better with higher power output like 100W so don’t be shy on feeding the speakers with power.
Cosmetically, the speakers look good. Some minor scuff marks/nicks here and there but nothing major. Previous owner had the cabinets repainted which isn’t that bad but if you want to beautify it further, the speakers can be a fresh canvas. We don’t have the original box or grille covers but will securely pack this for safe arrival.
