These are the next best thing after MC1.25KW. If you don’t need the additional “exuberance” of the MC1.25KW, the MC611s at $11,000 cheaper (MSRP) and a more than abundant 600W per channel is the MC1.25KW train ride on a “budget”. Paired with a matching preamp (see our other listing for a D1100 digital preamp for sale) of equal or better sonic attributes and you would have a combo that stands unrivaled in terms of power and musicality. McIntosh claims that the dynamic headroom is better by 55% over the MC601s and we can concur as we have a pair of MC601s that we could compare side by side. This improvement was done with a marginal $2,000 price increase over the MC601s which is remarkable in itself!
Cosmetically, the amps look really nice. One previous owner since new. We have the original boxes and will securely strap them on a pallet for shipping. Local pickup from our store can be arranged.
