Crossoverless speakers has a certain appeal that some audiophiles just love for their purity. The Raindrop 3 offers some of that appeal with an interestingly shaped cabinet that draws some inspiration from a snail’s shell with something like a “transmission line” cavity to boost the LF. The driver is only 3″ in diameter which offers a frequency range of 85 Hz to 20 kHz. Its not exactly full range like some of Lii Audio’s larger speakers that has larger full range drivers so adding a subwoofer is highly recommended if you want to get down to at least 45 Hz. Otherwise, it works nicely as a desktop speaker or as pipe in music speakers. Impedance is 4 ohm with a sensitivity of 89 dB.
Cosmetically, the speaker looks fair. There are some scuff marks/dings here and there and a small dimple on the dustcover of one of the driver. But otherwise, speakers work perfectly. They will be securely packed for safe shipping.
