Overview

The Daline 3.1 may be narrow tower speaker but it throws out a big and deep soundstage. It is just 7″ wide, 9.5″ deep and 40″ tall with one 5.25″ long throw woofer and one 1.125″ Tioxid (titanium oxide) tweeter that is found in their more expensive Electra lineup. This two way setup has a very respectable frequency range that dips down to 40 Hz and goes up to 23 kHz. Being that it is a transmission line design and is ported on the rear, it is best suited to be placed 1′ to 3′ away from the back wall. The bass energy differs between those distance so depending on the size of the room is placed in and how much space you can accord them, it impacts the soundstage and energy of the music. But in the right placement and good quality components that is being paired with, they are a very musical pair of speakers. Vocals were especially holographic and surreal in our medium sized listening room. Very intimate and soulful sounding. Nominal impedance is 8 ohm and sensitivity is 89 dB so they are very easy to drive.

Speakers look presentable for its vintage. Some scuff marks/nicks here and a few tiny holes on the grille covers but nothing major. One of the grille cover is a shade lighter due to being in the sun. Speakers are shipped in two boxes so factor x2 on the final shipping cost.
