Overview
The Celan Revolution 3 is a downright bargain of a monitor speaker. Beautifully made (drawing some resemblance to Sonus Faber Venere range of speakers but at a much lower price point) with an incredible sound to match its good looks. The speakers has their newer design 1.2″ Fluktus tweeter and 6″ HECO kraft paper cone. Frequency range is a VERY impressive (for a monitor speaker) 30Hz to 52kHz. Nominal impedance is 4-8 ohms with a 90 dB sensitivity. Each speaker is 9.5″ wide, 14″ deep and 16.5″ tall and they need heavy sturdy stands to sound their best. Mounted on such stands, the speakers sounded like floorstanding speakers, The bass was powerful and punchy with the mids and highs slightly on the warm side with a nice extended high. Singers were holographically produced within a wide and deep soundstage. For under $1,500 MSRP, its quite an impressive feat at this price point. At under $800 now, its a real bargain.
Speakers look really good with minor scuff marks from use but nothing major. Finish is expresso and we have the original box for them.
