This is one of the best built studio monitors out there. Solid die cast aluminum cabinet with Focal’s infamous 4″ Polyglass cone woofer and their 1″ aluminum/magnesium inverted dome Focal tweeter. If you want class leading clarity sound from a small studio monitor, this is it (in our opinion). Speakers are only 9.5″ tall and about 6″ deep and wide but they can throw out an incredible soundstage that belies its small statue. Frequency range is 60Hz to 28kHz with two 25W amplifiers in each speaker driving the bass and the high. Although they may be designed to sit on shelves or a desk, they will work on stands too. In fact, when we mounted them on stands the soundstage sounded deeper and vocals imaged better. The solid construction of the cabinets allowed them to go loud without any bass resonances ending up distorted. Very impressive sound in a small package.
Cosmetically, the speakers look good. Minor scuff marks from use but nothing major. One owner from NEW and they will be securely double boxed for safe shipping.
