The Time Frame series from DCM is probably their most iconic speakers. Shape like rectangular frames that are a few inches deep (8.75″ in this TF-600), they usually housed several drivers to give this wide enveloping soundstage. The TF-600 is 17″ wide and 41″ tall and packs two 6.5″ woofers and three 3/4″ tweeters with two of them firing off on the side edges of the speaker. As a transmission line design, the bass is very impressive for a speaker barely more than 9″ deep. Frequency range is 30 Hz to 20 kHz with a nominal impedance of 6 ohm and a sensitivity of 92 dB. Each speaker has two flip out leg extensions to prevent the speakers from tilting over backwards but we would still encourage some safe practices if you have kids in the house. Speakers are easy to drive with a suggested amplifier power of 10W up to 250W. Give it the necessary space around it, whether its 10W or 250W, the speakers will project out an incredible presence in your listening room. Its $750 MSRP back in the day was a bargain and was compared to speakers costing twice or even three times as much. At $250 now, its a steal.
Cosmetically, the speakers look good. Some minor scuff marks/nicks here and there but nothing major. We don’t have the original box so local pickup from our store preferred.
