The GTP-880 may be an oldie but its still a beauty when it comes to the sonic quality it offers now at under $300. So if you don’t need a HDMI port, the GTP-880 still offers tremendous flexibility, loads of AV processing capability (via its coaxial/TosLink digital inputs) and 8 pairs of analog inputs. If you just want to use as a second room or office stereo preamp, you will probably not be disappointed either.
Cosmetically, the preamp is in fair shape. Front looks good with most of the scuff marks found on its casing which a quick go over with a spray paint will bring it back to its original glory. We don’t have the original remote but programmed a Logitech Harmony remote to work with it. You can use that same remote and enter your other components into it to simplify the system to just one remote if you want. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
