Overview
The M-Series of power amps from Accuphase are a range of amps that are amongst the best out there. The M-2000 pair you see here is their more “affordable” lineup. The next model that has a “similar” 250W/8 ohm spec is the M-8000 but that pair retails for almost twice the money of the M-2000 at $60,000! Both models are massive amps and physically similar at almost 110 lbs each and measures approx 19″ wide, 10″ tall and 22″ deep. Build quality is Accuphase’s trump card and is their calling card for what a high end amplifier should be. Sonically, the M-2000 is a resounding high end amp. No debate here on where it is position as. Incredible resolution, richly textured mids with well carved details, sweet highs and a tight, well controlled bass. The amps are not fussy with any speakers we paired it with and is a blast to use with all. A top class preamp is mandatory to bring out the strengths of these reference standard monoblocks.
Cosmetically, the Accuphase amps are in very good shape. Minor scuff marks from use but nothing major. We have the original boxes and the amps will have to be shipped via freight due to their weight and size. Local pickup from our store can be arranged.
