The two things (amongst many) that we are always impressed with Wyred4Sound are the built quality of their products and the sound. The STI-500 integrated is a 250W per channel in 8 ohm, 550W in 4 ohm powerhouse. The power ability of this integrated is impressive to say the least. Music was delivered effortlessly and so cleanly that every musical nuances were projected through our speakers. Our Magnepans paired with it magnificently. Tight bass, clean mids and detailed highs without any hint of harshness. For the money, the STI-500 offers a lot for under $700. To us, this is like the Swiss Army Knife of audio, it does so many things very well.
Cosmetically, the unit looks good with minor scuff marks here and there but nothing major. The battery cover on the remote is slightly loose but stays on fine once you slide it in place. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
