The SDS is like the precision speed and voltage regulator for your VPI turntables (or any other turntables that uses an AC Synchronous motor without intervening electonics). By adopting the SDS with your turntable, the SDS will provide precise speed – 33 1/3 and 45 RPM at a stable frequency that will allow your platter to spin better and thus reducing distortion and improved definition across the music. Naturally, improvements will vary according to the turntable in question but if you own a turntable costing up to $7,000, you probably owe it to yourself to try the SDS out. VPI recommends the SDS be used with their TNT and Aries range of turntables. Although the SDS will take any voltage from 100-240V in, output is only within 72-115V with a maximum draw of 30W. Which means, if you are living outside the USA and is using a turntable within the SDS output voltage, the SDS can be used as a precision voltage converter and speed regulator.
This unit was a former dealer demo. Minor scuff marks but nothing major. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack it for safe shipping. Copy of manual included.
