The Waltz Grand is a very versatile speaker. It can be used on its own as a center channel speaker or as a pair for main L and R channel or as surround speakers. The pair you see here were previously used as front stereo speakers in a home theater room where the owner didn’t want to have any speakers taking up space on the floor so their slim profile (relatively) were perfect for his wall mounting plans. Each speaker measures approx 19″ tall, 8″ wide and 4″ deep. They have an impedance of 4 ohm with a sensitivity of 91 dB. Frequency range is 70 Hz to 22 kHz with recommended amplification of 25 – 180W. Speaker was designed as a 3-way where it has two 6″ drivers acting as the bass and midrange and a 1″ silk dome tweeter for the highs. We fed it with 100W per channel and they never failed to impress when needed. The speed, dynamics and fluidity of the speakers are so good, they make some similarly priced bookshelf speakers to shame. Vienna Acoustics were creative enough to provide two pairs of speaker wire inputs (banana plugs only or use a spade/banana adapter) on either side of the speakers so you can either wire them up from the inner side of the speaker or the outer side.
Cosmetically, the speakers look fair. Some scuff marks/nicks here and there and a bit of corner wear on one of the grille covers with a tiny tear or two (barely visible until up close). Speakers work perfectly otherwise. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack them for safe shipping. See our listing for a matching Maestro Grand for the center speaker.
