The Wood Block is a very affordable RFI filter that you basically attached between your AC cord and the IEC outlet on the back of your component. By having it placed just before the component, it is basically the treating the RFI at the final stage of the electrical line before it enters the component. Unlike power conditioners where the AC cord of the component is plugged into, the AC cord can still pick up RFI interference as electrical current travels through power conditioner’s outlet, through the cord and into the component. The Wood Block has some weight to it and will require a bit of space behind the component to comfortably fit it in.
Cosmetically, the unit looks good with just minor scuff marks/nicks from use. It will be securely packed for safe shipping.
