Although Thales is more known for its turntables and tonearms, they also make a pretty remarkable range of cables. The Line that you see here is unlike many of its competition where they just “pile on” the thickness. The Line is a much thinner (an adaptation from their expertise in tonearm cables) and also far more flexible cable that makes any connection between components a breeze. As thin as it is, it is actually made up of ten super thin copper conductors inside with some clever use of nylon to shield the cables. Interestingly, the cables do not sound correspondingly “thin”. It had a nice, natural smooth presentation with a decent amount of body and presence. For under $1,000, this competes very favorably with some of the category leaders like Nordost and Kimber in this price range.
Cables had one very careful owner from new. Some light scuff marks around the RCA plugs but nothing major. They will be securely packed for safe shipping.
