This is Spectral’s more affordable preamp for the audiophile who wants to jump on the spectral bandwagon but has to work around a budget. It shares pretty much the same transparency, speed and details as the DMC-6 that we just sold and you would need to seriously nitpick to point out any flaws. Like any other Spectral preamps, the design and engineering is simple, straightforward and just filled with premium parts. MM phono stage (for many audiophiles, this was the key beauty of the preamp) is a gem and actually sounded pretty good for the money and would be comparable to any other phono preamps that retails up to $2,000. Input impedance can be set internally with values ranging from 10 to 800 via rocker switches. Line inputs were equally impressive with excellent detail retrieval and transparency. For under $1,000 now, this is an audiophile bargain.
Cosmetically, the preamp is in nice shape. Minor scuff marks/nicks from use but nothing major. Preamp will be securely packed for safe shipping.
