If you can spare a 12″ square space in your listening room and want to add some low end bass in your system, the Sub 8 is an excellent choice. It will not take up a lot of space (its just under 12″ cube in size) and weighs a very manageable 20lbs (approx). The 8″ woofer in it is a carbon-loaded polypropylene cone with that ribbed NLC™ non-limiting corrugated Santoprene® surround that allows it to extend down to 19Hz. With a 300W amp inside driving it, the Sub8 can pump out some room shaking bass (in a small to medium size room). Of course the law of physics does limit its ability to challenge a 12″ or 15″ sub but if you want a tight, thumping bottom end in a compact package, the Sub 8 will not disappoint. Setup is extremely easy and logical. So you will not be up late into the night setting it up. Just use your ears and tune the crossover and volume level and you are good to go.
Cosmetically, the sub is in very nice shape. The usual scuff marks from use but nothing major. Previous owner “painted” a white line over the control knobs so he can see what level they are in but other than that, no major cosmetic issues. We don’t have the original packaging but can securely pack it for safe shipping.
