The Domino was Grandinote’s former flagship preamp before they came out with the $24,000 Genesi. Sonically, it sounded very close to the Genesi with the only main difference is the fully balanced design of the Genesi. The Domino has six line inputs both in XLR and RCA which in a sense is more flexible to the end user who don’t have the flexibility of of a full XLR setup. Design is still Class A with zero feedback and their proprietary Magnetosolid® sound technology that when compared to the Mark Levinson No.32 that we are also currently selling, the Domino held its own for thousands of dollars lesser. Musical presentation had a clear clarity to it that in our opinion, is better than the Levinson. Delivery was fast, smooth and dynamic. The Levinson might have a bit more mid-range warmth but its very subtle. This Italian stallion is worthy rival to Levinson’s No.32.
Cosmetically, the unit looks good. Some light scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We have the original box and remote and will securely pack it for safe shipping.
