When the Brooklyn DAC hit the market not too long ago, it was received with great fanfare. Not only was it a great sounding DAC, it was also a preamp with a phono in (or line in) that will work with a MM and MC cartridge) and a headphone amp. Built quality and finish is first class with a ultra modern looking fascia and a truly magnificent display panel. On the inside, it spots a high-resolution digital converter that handles PCM files up to 32 bit – 384 kHz, DSD256 and MQA files if you use a lot of Tidal in your listening. Not many DACs handle MQA files and barely a few cost this little. So for the money, you are really getting a lot of “high tech”. The resolution you get from the DAC is incredible. The soundstage is clearly laid out with distinct placement of instruments and vocals. All these goodness comes from Mytek’s long standing experience in professional studio recording and playback which is built into the Brooklyn’s DNA. As a hub for digital sources, the Brooklyn will leave you struggling to fill all the digital inputs. The analog line in allows you to connect an analog source or a turntable. Output is via RCAs and XLRs. Unit will run on 100-240V so it can be used anywhere in the World.
Cosmetically, the unit looks very good. It was lightly used as a DEMO unit. The remote was not even used at all. We have the manual and original box and will securely double box it for safe shipping.
