The RB-61 MKII is a “smallish” medium size monitor speaker that is just filled to the bream with “gusto”. Measuring 8.5″ wide, 16.5″ tall and 12.5″ deep, the speakers are very capable of throwing out a large soundstage (relative to its size) with very punchy dynamics. The 1″ titanium horn loaded tweeter and 6.5″ Cerametallic woofer works cohesively together with good symmetry across the frequency range (45Hz to 24KHz). It may sound “sharper” than other non-metallic based drivers but if you want a crispy sound with clearly defined notes and swift bottom end beats, the Klipsch should be on your short list. The 95db sensitivity and nominal 8 ohm impedance makes them easy speakers to drive and works very well with tube amps (our preferred choice of amplification with these speakers). For the money, these speakers reveals a lot more of the music than most similarly priced monitor speakers. And if you have a good source unit and amplification, can be richly rewarding where the total cost of the system won’t break the bank.
Cosmetically, it is in pretty nice shape. Some scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack it for safe shipping.
