The DM600i is one of the great classic from the mid-nineties where British monitor speakers were all the rage. When paired with the NAD 3020 integrated amp, the B&W/NAD combo was one of the most musical setup you can own for under $600 back then. Add a good CD player, solid speaker stands and decent cables and you would have a setup that almost populate every hifi magazine for the best assembled $1,000 system. Well, you can still do that but with much lesser financial outlay now. Speakers do need some “juice” to drive them. Its nominal impedance is 4 ohms with a sensitivity of 87dB. B&W recommends an amp rating of 30W to 100W. Frequency response is 80Hz to 20KHz.
Cosmetically, the speakers look good for its age. A few tiny dings along the edges and on a rear corner and minor scuff marks here and there. Previous owner had the bass/mid-woofer refoamed so it is good for many more years to come. He also changed the rubber surround that goes on the outer perimeter of the speaker frame. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
