Overview
This is another analog sounding tuner from Yamaha. For under $80 now, this is as close to analog radio as you can get for the money. Design is simple with a focus on sound and keeping it simple. You can preset your favorite stations to memory for quick access and with the FM filter, it cuts out some of the static if it gets too noisy. But with a good antenna, you would hardly need to use that feature. Compared to other sub-$100 digital tuners, the Yamaha was more natural sounding and had a good pull on radio signals.
Cosmetically it is in good shape for its age. Some minor scuff marks here and there which is common with vintage gear but otherwise, it looks really good. All lights work bright and is quite a sight in a dimly lit room. We do not have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
