Overview
The Scoutmaster is arguably VPI’s best value turntable where it shares many attributes of its higher end and more expensive lineup but at a relatively bargain price. Solid built quality with the legendary JMW9 arm, this is a turntable for the ages. The table you see here had one owner from new and is currently fitted with a Shelter 501 MK.II MC cartridge which retails for $1,300. The pairing is simply gorgeous sonically. The performance of the Scoutmaster could be further elevated with more exotic MC cartridges but for the price now, they are a great combination. Custom ordered Gingko Audio dustcover is included and will be shipped separately (making this a 2 box shipment).
Cosmetically, the turntable looks really good with minor scuff marks common with use. Turntable will be securely packed (in its original box) for safe shipping.
