Overview
The Illusion II preamp you see here is the model just under their flagship two-chassis Illusion preamp (which cost nearly twice as much). With the Illusion II, you get five line inputs and digital options for two coaxial, two Toslink and one AES/EBU component where the incoming digital signal is processed by a 24 Bit/ 192 kHz ESS Sabre DAC. The flexibility and connectivity is impressive and is backed by a sound quality that is worthy of any top class system. Presentation was tight and precise with good control over its bass, mids and highs. It may be a tad less warm sounding than the Mark Levinson No.523 preamp we have for sale in another listing but pair with the right amp, the pre/power combo will deliver some dramatic musical moments.
The preamp is in great shape. Very minor scuff marks here and there common with use but nothing major. One owner from NEW. We have the original box and remote and will securely pack it for safe shipping.
