This is another component from Ensemble Audio that is recommended by Absolute Sound magazine. The Fuoco integrated has been around for many years but this is their latest iteration (designated Massimo Fuoco). Its a hybrid design where it uses dual ECC81 (12AT7) tubes in the input stage and solid state for its output. 100W is delivered in 8 ohm and 150W in 4 ohm through its all new circuitry and caps. The boards are also isolated from its chassis where they call it a “floating” architecture. We had this paired with the Ondiva speakers and Delvivo speaker cables where they had 6mm banana plugs (both the Massimo Fuoco and Ondiva speakers use the larger 6mm banana/binding posts). If you are using the regular 4mm banana plugs, you can just use the included spades and attached them to your banana plugs and run the spades to the binding posts. This all Ensemble setup retails for almost $45,000 and if measured as a one brand setup, is probably one of the best sounding out there. The level of refinement and musicality was out of this World. There was a level of gentleness and sensitivity that brings out the delicateness of the music into the room. The type of speakers used does change the demeanor of the integrated. When we paired it with the Wilson Audio WATT/Puppy 5.1, the Massimo Fuoco rocked the WP5.1s. It may not be in the same league as the Kondo Overture (also for sale in another listing) but it is also not as expensive. So depending on what you are prepared to spend, both are excellent choices.

Cosmetically, the integrated is in great shape. Very minor scuff marks from use but nothing major. We have the original packaging, metal remote and manual. It will be securely packed for safe shipping.
