Overview

The Denon POA-S1 monoblocks are one of the rarest amps on the planet, especially one in factory original 120V. From what we gather, there are only a few pairs that were imported into the US as 120V voltage because they were super expensive and super massive and had limited production runs. Each amp is almost 180lbs and 27″ deep, 19″ wide and 11″ tall. Power output starts at 250W in 8 ohm and goes up to 1,400W in 1 ohm. Listening to these amps are like getting a slice of heaven. They were so transparent, so effortless in their ability to reproduce music that everything just comes through with a naturalness that we have not heard from any amp costing under $50,000. We had a chance to listen them with the matching PRA-S1 preamp (a two chassis preamp that cost $17,000) several years back and they were by far, one of the greatest pre/power combo you could buy even when money is no object.

These amps may very well be the only pair we will ever get our hands on. They are like the Rolex of audio amplifiers where their scarcity gets rarer each year and their value appreciates higher each year. Cosmetically, the unit looks good. Some scuff marks and tiny knicks here and there but nothing major. These will have to ship freight or local pickup.
