Overview
This may be one of the pricier USB DAC but it is also one of the best there is if your choice of a front end is computer based. Running the digital signal out from our laptop through the QB-9 DSD DAC really elevated the sound quality of the playback versus a “cheaper” Chinese sourced USB DAC. The Ayre is as simple as plug and play and all you need to do after that is just run through your selection, kick back and relax and just enjoy. Outputs are via a pair of coaxial or XLRs.
Cosmetically, the unit is in fair shape. Some scuff marks/nicks over the chassis cover from components sitting on it which you could easily go over with a silver spray paint and have it looking like new again. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
