From the annals of CD player history, the Parasound C/DX-88 CD player was quite the budget “superstar” when various audio manufacturers were launching their CD players to promote the medium of CD as the new standard for high fidelity music. This would compete with the likes from NAD, Sony, Pioneer, Yamaha, Nakamichi etc. They were all good sounding and pushed the envelope of CD as the primary source format in a hifi system to what we have today. It may not have the definition and clean details from current crop of CD players but for the money, the Parasound was easy to enjoy without feeling guilty from over spending. Switch in the rear allows for voltage selection between 115V and 230V so it can be used anywhere in the World.
Cosmetically, the C/DX-88 is in nice shape for its vintage. We don’t have the original box but have the remote. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
