In the not too distant past, the Nu-Vista M3 integrated amp was the “one box”, trickled down unit (and supposedly better) from the limited edition Nu-Vista preamp/ 300 combo. It showcased 275W of power (compared to 300W in the Nu-Vista 300 power amp) which was a lot more than you would probably need. Its gleaming metal faceplate intermixed with gold and silver pseudo finish and blue LEDS gave it the exquisite look that is so typical of Antony Michaelson.
The Nu-Vista M3 is a glorious power house, pure and simple. We could sense/hear the huge power reserve when we had it driving the Mordaunt Short Performance Six floorstanding speakers. Good depth and scale was brought to the musical presentation with a well placed imaging when listening to vocals. The M3 is a two box unit with a separate hefty power supply that will keep any electrical interference away from the sensitive analog boards in the main control unit. It came “close” to the Nu-Vista 800 we had a while back and although it can’t hold a candle to it, for the money, the Nu-Vista M3 is the next best, affordable alternative to it.
Cosmetically, the unit looks really good. Minor scuff marks here and there that are common with use but nothing major. The unit was recently serviced and re-biased back to original factory specs. So it works like new now. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack it for safe shipping. They will be shipped in two boxes.
