The pair you see here is a current model under Martin Logan’s lineup. It is impressively built with a classy finish. This is the gloss black cherrywood finish which commands a $50 premium over its gloss back finish version. To be honest, we weren’t expecting much from these speakers but within 2 minutes of listening, we knew we were into something special. We then placed them on more “beefier” speaker stands (120 lbs speaker stands, each) and that reign in a tighter bass, soundstage became more focus and imaging was more holographic. The highs were exceptionally sweet (as expected from its Folded Motion XT tweeter and the mid-range was lush with a rich texture. Good quality amplification is strongly recommended to bring out the best from these speakers. Like they say, feed a speaker with a crappy amp and you get a crappy sound. The Motion 35XT is a very revealing pair of speakers and they will just replicate what they are being “fed”.
Cosmetically, the speakers are in great shape. They were used very briefly and could almost pass off as mint. We have the original boxes and manual.
