The Linn Kan speakers are easily the next best thing to the Rogers LS 3/5a. Similarly sized, they share the same traits, beautifully textured mi-range, sweet highs and a fairly “raucous” bottom end. Nothing bone shaking but still impressive for its size. These speakers need heavy sturdy stands, good amplification and in the right room size with careful positioning, will sound amazing. Side by side with the Rogers LS 3/5a, you have to (at least we did) really strain your ears to hear the Rogers edging out the Linn speakers (barely and with much scrutiny). But when you factor how the Linn is many times cheaper, it was the obvious champ amongst the two. The pair you see here is a later version of the award winning model which is easier to pair in any hifi system than the earlier versions. Size wise, each speaker is about 12″ tall and 7.5″ deep and wide. Frequency response is 70Hz to 20KHz with a nominal impedance of 4 ohm and a sensitivity of 88dB.
Cosmetically, it is in nice shape. Some scuff marks here and there and some tiny white paint speckles but nothing major. It was previously mounted on a wall mount which is why the bracket is still on the back of the speaker. The grille cover is not removable. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack this safe shipping.
