If you want an affordable power conditioner that offers surge protection and an easy one button to turn the whole system on, the ACE-515 will do it. This is why it has two power cords running out of it. The thinner one with a two prong plug at the end is designed to be plugged into the back of a component that has a switched outlet on the back. Some preamps has this so when you turn on the preamp, it activates the switched outlets on the ACE-515 and any components that are plugged into these switched outlets will then turn on without you hitting the “on” button on each and every unit. It is a useful feature but it also means everything turns on when you only want the CD player to be turned on. So if you just want to use all the outlets but still want to be able to select which component you want to turn on, you can just plug the two prong plug into a wall outlet. On the back, there are four two prong outlets and three three prong outlets. So it is good for seven components.
Cosmetically, unit looks good. Some scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We don’t have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
